Flying A Kite

Dear charming kite,
Do litely bite
The foggy fields, the lowing lanes
The rickety roads and the kneeling plains
Oh lazy light
With massive might

You dare my dream of snowy cloth
Felt snapping white as albatross
Is bitten by the wind and rocks
Is hushed into the clary moss
Is ushered here to count his loss
My kite; pale cotton, willow cross

You take my tattered fist
It's like a catalyst
It's like a roiling writhing wall of 'has it come to this?'

If this is medicine
It tastes like medicine
Just help me get it in

Oh gnarly night
It's like a dog fight
It's like a cat fight
And if i could just hold you close to me,
I guess i hold you close to me
It's like a bull fight

And I see I give you a piece of my mind
But i'm giving you a piece of my mouth
You blushing boy's how could you be so blind?

La, da-da, dee, di
Look at my kite fly
Over foggy fields
The pungent pines
The verdant veils
The vapid vines
And the thousand purple cups of wine
The tearing teeth and the four full tines
The crumpling feast and the dawdling dine

And you do
Get me off the floor
Stand there staring for a minute
Like you never saw a girl before
There is the door

And like the streets are like an open mouth
I head south
And you stand fair and square and I stand there
Until the fall blots me out

There is no more
The cat and mouse to block the door
There is no more

!

Haaaiii everybody,

I don't usually like writing a lot in my blog, but seeing as I don't have anyone to talk to I might as well write a bit about my exciting day.

So today I had to be at Bakers Delight at 8:50am for my training day. I got there and a nice lady showed me everything and I started by sweeping the floor. Anyways I worked until 12, and I learnt how to use the bread slicer and the till, how to package the products and tie them, and how to act when serving customers. I actually got to serve people, but I needed a little help because it was my first day.

So yeah, I have to be there again on Thursday and Sunday, then i'll be officially on the roster :)

Yaaaay!

^.^

"Let me help you.
Step down. Here we go!
The drum major's widow! She's worn his coat since the day he died.
The horse's head has lost an ear! That's the florist laughing. He has crinkly eyes.
In the bakery window, lollipops.
Smell that! They're giving out melon slices!
Sugarplum ice cream!
We're passing the park butcher. Ham, 79 francs. Spareribs, 45!
Now the cheese shop. Picadors are 12.90. Cabecaus 23.50.
A baby's watching a dog that's watching the chickens.
Now we're at the kiosk by the metro. I'll leave you here. Bye!"

Spring

Yesterday my friends and I decided to celebrate Spring by having a Spring day, and we thought the best way to do it was to go and explore the Botanic Gardens.
We were so right.

It was a lovely sunny day, and there were lakes, fish, green grass, big trees, swans, glasshouses and lots more.

So to all of you who have nothing to do on a sunny day - gather up your friends and go to the Botanic Gardens :)

Holidays

These past two days have been beyond lovely.
Last night my friend Tara came to my house and we went to see one of our favourite bands, Princess One Point Five, perform live at a pub. The singer (Sarah Jane) and I had spoken on myspace and I had told her I was coming. When we got there I saw her and she smiled at me. She started off with a few solo songs, which were amazing. Thankfully my mum seemed to be enjoying herself (she had to be there). After a couple of her songs she came around and handed out her new single free. She came to us first and Tara and I both got to shake her hand. We chatted for a while then me and Tara went to the bathroom. When we came back we saw that Sarah Jane had been talking to my mum :| Then the rock songs came on, and we ordered chips and I ate a peppermint freddo frog. At the end of the show I bought one of her albums I hadn't heard of called "The Truth"

and we talked a bit more. That night Tara stayed at my house and we had lots of fun.

Today we slept in until 12.30 and went out to brunch on Brunswick street at 1.30. After brunch we went shopping and I bought two lovely dresses, one of them being

and Tara bought three.

I love holidays.
